Shakespearean tragedy Othello in Malayalam, translated with a foreword by Prof V N Parameswaran Pillai. It is believed to have been written in approximately 1603 by William Shakespeare, and based on an Italian short story by Cinthio. The work revolves around four central characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army; his wife Desdemona; his lieutenant, Cassio; and his trusted ensign Iago.
