B Sreeraj documents the life and struggles of Irom Sharmila, activist and poet from Manipur. She has been on hunger strike demanding the Indian government to repeal the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958, which she blames for violence in Manipur and other North-East states of India. Having refused food and water for more than ten years, she has been called "the world's longest hunger striker".
