Novel by Mrs Richard Collins. Some critics consider 'Ghathakavadham' as the first Malayalam novel. It is a translation of the English work 'Slayer Slain' written by the wife of Richard Collins, the compiler of the celebrated Malayalam dictioanry. Malayalam translation was by her husband and published after her death in Vidyasamgraham magazine. This edition comes with an introductory study by S S Sreekumar.
