WHAT'S IT
കെ എസ് ഇ ബിയില് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനാണ് സുഗുണന്. സുഗുണന്റെ ഭാര്യ ബിന്ദു, ഇവര്ക്ക് ഒരു മകള് 14 വയസുള്ള അഞ്ജന. പുലര്ച്ചേ അഞ്ചു മണിക്ക് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് രാത്രി വരെ നീളുന്ന വീട്ടുജോലികളില് നട്ടം തിരിയുകയാണു ബിന്ദു. പതിനെട്ടാം വയസില് കല്യാണം കഴിഞ്ഞതില് പിന്നെ വളരെക്കാലം പഠിച്ച ഡാന്സിനു പോലും ബിന്ദുവിന് സമയം കിട്ടുന്നില്ല. അടുക്കളയില് സഹായിക്കാനോ കേടായ മിക്സി മാറ്റാനോ ഒന്നും സുഗുണന് തയാറാകുന്നില്ല. ബിന്ദുവിന്റെ രോഗിയായ അമ്മയെ ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ പോയി കാണാന് പോലും സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ല സുഗുണന്. ബിന്ദുവിന്റെ അമ്മ മരിച്ചപ്പോള് ചടങ്ങുകള് കഴിയുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് തന്നെ സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിലെത്തുന്നു സുഗുണന്. അതും കൂടിയായപ്പോള് ബിന്ദു ഒരു തീരുമാനമെടുക്കുന്നു; വീട്ടില് പണി മുടക്കുക. പക്ഷേ അതു കാര്യങ്ങള് കൂടുതല് വഷളാക്കുന്നു. ഒടുവില് ബിന്ദു സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു. അതു സുഗുണന്റെയും മകളുടെയും ബിന്ദുവിന്റെ തന്നെയും ജീവിതത്തെ ഗുരുതരമായി ബാധിക്കുന്നു.

ഫാമിലി ഓഡിയന്സിനെ ആകര്ഷിക്കുന്ന കഥയാണ് ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്ക്. സുരാജ് വെഞ്ഞാറമൂടിന്റെയും മറ്റും കുറെ തമാശകളും കൊള്ളാം. ഏറെക്കാലത്തിനു ശേഷം ജയറാമിനെ കുടുംബപ്രേക്ഷകരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധയാകര്ഷിക്കുന്ന വേഷത്തില് കാണാനായി. ഗോപികയും അവസാന സിനിമയിലെ വേഷം തിളക്കമുള്ളതാക്കി. ജയറാം പല നടന്മാരെ അനുകരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഗാനരംഗങ്ങള് കൌതുകകരമാണ്. ശ്രീനിവാസന്, സത്യന് അന്തിക്കാട് സിനിമകള്ക്കുള്ള ലാളിത്യവും ഒതുക്കവും ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്കുണ്ട്. പരിചയക്കുറവ് വ്യക്തമാണെങ്കിലും അഞ്ജനയുടെ വേഷത്തിലെത്തിയ നിവേദ തരക്കേടില്ല.
MINUSES
ക്ലൈമാക്സില് ജയറാമിനെ മനോനില തെറ്റിയവനാക്കുന്നതും, മനശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനെ കൊണ്ടു ക്ലാസ് എടുപ്പിക്കുന്നതും മറ്റും ബോറടിപ്പിക്കും. സൂക്ഷ്മാംശങ്ങളില് ചില ചെറിയ യുക്തിഭംഗങ്ങള് കാണാം, ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് ഒരു അപ്പര് മിഡില് ക്ലാസ് വീട്ടിലെ വിവാഹത്തിന് ജനറേറ്റര് കൊണ്ടു വരാതെ വൈദ്യുതി മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതും മറ്റും തമാശ മാത്രം കൂട്ടി വിഴുങ്ങാന് പ്രയാസമാണ്.

jayaram has acted a bad performance but the film is better
A really good movie after kadaparayumbol.You can give 7 mark for this movie.
The movie is very good...Much better than any of the recent relases in Malayalam....No punchlines,fights ,double meaning dialogues...But have a good story with decent presentation. I will give an 8.

jayaram is back with a good performace.jayaram who is a far better than suresh gopi is back.his trade mark is family oriented films,so we can hope that he will give more hits, this wil b a path for himt to b bcak in malayalam film industry, please b selective jayaram like these films we need from you

For jayaram this is a break through.there was a time wen suresh gopi and jayaram were next to our mega stars mammooty and mohan lal,but both suresh gopi and jayaram sudenly went down, but i dont know suresh gopi is again back ,how it happend only he knows, but jayaram was giving hits at dat time alos witho out much hits suresh gopi is now back ,altogehter in his carreer i dont know how many hits suresh gopi has in his career,may be less than 10.but it sure dat jayaram has given 10 times more hits dan suresh gopi,so if suresh gopi is in industry definitely jayaram must b e given chances to produce more hits ,may b this is a starting
"Veruthey Oru Bharya" is simple beautiful movie. Jayaram & Gopika did wonderful job. The song which is Jayaram imitating actors was very convincing. Moreover,Rahman's unexpected special appearance also satisfies the film lovers.

I saw this movie on last Saturday (30Aug07)in Woodlands theatre Chennai. This movie relased in Chennai on Friday (29Aug07).
Pluses:
1. Nithya jeevithathil kandu porunna cheruiya cheriya karyangal narmathil avatharipichathu pazhaya sathyan anthikadu chithrangale oormipikkum.
2. Kurachu nalukalkku shesham Jayaram cheytha oru nall vesham. Ethra kandalum madukkatha Jayaraminte mimicry oru pattil ulpeduthiyathilum puthuma undu.
3. Image onnum nokkathe gopika enna nayika 9thil padikunna kuttiyude amma ayathilum puthuma undu. Innathe ethra puthu mukha naayikamar ithinu thayarakumennu arinju kooda.

It was a wonder full scripting and good direction,the main attraction of this movie that comedy and good family story it was a
amazing picturisation and camera work is good,
espectially acting of jayaram,gopika,suraj is good,good songs thank you akku&all team of this filim we are expecting more movies this type i give 9 mark of this movie.
