Indrajith, written by Rajesh Jayaraman and directed by Haridas, tells the story of Changootam Bhasi who has been brought up by his father Chembarunthu Bhaskaran to be a bigger goonda than himself!! Kalabhavan Mani plays Changootam Bhasi and Rajan P. Dev, plays his father Chembarunthu Bhaskaran. Others in the cast include Nedumudi Venu, Divya Viswanath, Indraja, Riyas Khan, Saiju Kurup, Shalu Menon, Indrans and Sreejith Ravi. Songs penned by Rajiv Alumkal are set to music by S Jayan. Shyam Dutt cranks the camera.
WHAT'S IT
മകനെ ഗുണ്ടയാക്കാന് നടക്കുന്ന അപ്പന്. അപ്പനെ വെല്ലുന്ന ഗുണ്ടയാകുന്ന മകന്. വന്നും പോയുമിരിക്കുന്ന ചെറുവില്ലന്മാര്, പിന്നൊരു പ്രധാന വില്ല്ലന്, ഇടയ്ക്കു ഡാന്സു ചെയ്യാന് ഒരു ‘പടക്കം’(സിനിമയിലെ തന്നെ ഭാഷയാണേ!), മരുന്നിനൊരു നായിക, പെങ്ങള്, നല്ലവനാണെങ്കിലും പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റായ മാഷ്, കാശിനു കൊള്ളാത്ത ഒരു പൊലീസുകാരന്.... ഇങ്ങനെ പോകുന്നു കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്.
ഗുണ്ടയാണെങ്കിലും നല്ല മനസ്സുള്ളവനാണ് നായകന് (അതാണല്ലോ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഒരു ഫാഷന്). ഗുണ്ടയുടെ ‘സൈന്യ’ത്തില് നുഴഞ്ഞു കയറുന്ന വില്ലന്. പിന്നെ പ്രതികാരം, പ്രതികാരത്തിനു പ്രതികാരം.. കഴിഞ്ഞു.
PLUSES
പതിവു വേഷങ്ങള് തന്നെയാണെങ്കിലും നെടുമുടി വേണു, രാജന് പി. ദേവ്, കൊച്ചിന് ഹനീഫ എന്നിവരുടെ പ്രകടനം പതിവു പോലെ നന്നായി.
MINUSES
സ്ഥിരം കഥ, സ്ഥിരം കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്, സ്ഥിരം ശൈലി, സ്ഥിരം അന്ത്യം! നല്ലൊരു കഥാപാത്രത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാന് പോലും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല എഴുത്തുകാരനും സംവിധായകനും.
VERDICT
കലാഭവന് മണിയുടെ ബ്രാന്ഡില് പുറത്തു വരാറുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ ആരാധകരെ പോലും നിരാശപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന സിനിമ.
